So.....Let's start with an easy example
(a) Calculate the mean of the following set of numbers:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
To do this, add up the numbers and divide by how many numbers you have (5 of them, in this case).
mean = (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5)/5
= 15/5
= 3
Pretty easy, right? ...Here's another example of calculating the mean.

Answer: Mean - 521/47.36
3. Find the mean for the following set of data.
1000, 5100, 5025, 1, 100, 3275, 3275, 5, 10000, 1250
Answer: Mean - 29031/10 = 2903.1
